Introduction

Hi my name is Jenny. I live in a very small town (population 300) called Beal City here in Michigan. I have been happily married for almost 7 years. We are the proud owners of two dogs, a basset hound named Rosco and a Jack Russel Terrier named Fez. My hobbies include reading, photography, and gardening.

I currently work at Central Michigan University Park Library. I have worked as an Access Services Specialist/Book Stack Maintenance & Inventory Supervisor for over 3 years. I supervise 11 students who reshelve books, process new and corrected books, dust and straighten the stacks, shelf read, and conduct inventory on the circulating collection.

I graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Psychology in 2008. Once I earn my Masters in Library and Information Science I hope to become a Reference Librarian/Bibliographer. I would also like to eventually work in collection development. At the same time I have interest in public librarianship, so I am struggling in deciding what to focus on. In the Introduction to the Information Profession course I hope to learn an overview of the profession and to gain insight into Library trends. I look forward to learning more about my fellow classmates.
